Welcome to Rieber & Søn
Rieber & Søn is a family-owned investment firm in Bergen with a history dating back to 1839. We invest in new companies and are active owners in those we already hold. Our team is small, so everyone takes on a wide range of responsibilities across companies, industries, and challenges.
We have about fifteen employees in Bergen and Singapore. Our headquarters are located in Kalfaret. Our work environment is professionally ambitious yet informal, and there is room for both learning and taking on responsibility.
Social interaction is an important part of our work environment. Throughout the year, we get together for summer parties, fall parties, Christmas parties, and various outings and gatherings. We also enjoy a bit of friendly competition, often in the form of a prediction contest when major championships are underway.
Our headquarters
Our headquarters are located at Kalfarveien 57A, in a historic building just outside downtown Bergen. The building was constructed as an administrative building for Hansa Brewery in 1926 and has been owned by Rieber & Søn since 1989.
Following an extensive renovation, the building was put into use the following year, with a strong emphasis on preserving and restoring its original character. In 2024, the premises were once again upgraded and adapted to meet the needs of a modern work environment.
Today, the office combines historical character with a modern and functional setting for work, collaboration, and social gatherings.

Summer Internship
Since 2016, Rieber & Søn has welcomed students to our internship program every year. The program gives talented and curious students the opportunity to gain insight into an exciting asset management environment and work closely on real-world challenges.
As an intern, you'll gain experience with a wide range of tasks, including financial analysis and modeling, strategic assessments, and operational projects.
We typically recruit for our summer internships in September and October each year. Information about the next application round will be posted here when recruitment opens.
