Thank you for having us!

We are six lucky students who have had the opportunity to spend the summer at Rieber & Søn

Thank you for having us!

Throughout the summer, we’ve had the opportunity to work on many interesting projects for Rieber & Søn’s portfolio companies. On our first day at Kalfaret, we were welcomed with open arms and introduced to each other, the office, and the work we’d be doing over the summer. No two days have been the same, and we’ve looked forward to going to work every day!

The projects we’ve worked on have typically begun with a comprehensive project and company overview provided by either Rieber & Søn or the portfolio companies. Even though we’ve been working in two teams throughout the summer, we’ve been able to participate in all the overviews and presentations. This has given us insight into many industries and companies, which has been very educational. Throughout the process, there has been both close collaboration and room for more independent work. We’ve largely been given free rein to interpret, carry out, and solve the various challenges. The projects have lasted anywhere from 3–4 days to the entire period, and we’ve concluded most of them with a presentation of our findings and recommendations.

The feedback from these presentations has taught us a great deal, and we are left with the impression that what we have done has had real significance and value. Some of the projects have already been implemented by the project sponsor, while others have provided the portfolio companies with new information on which to base future decisions.

It has been exciting to gain insight into how a forward-thinking investment firm like Rieber & Søn evaluates both new and existing investments. There’s been a great atmosphere among us interns, and social dinners and activities have helped create a positive work environment. It’s been nice getting to know the other employees at the office, and it’s been easy to ask for help whenever we’ve had questions.

We'd like to thank Rieber & Søn for a wonderful summer!
