Trond Valvik Appointed New CEO

Rieber & Søn (“R&S”) is pleased to announce that Trond Valvik has been appointed the company’s new CEO. Valvik has been with R&S since 2014 and has led the company’s direct investment activities. Under his leadership, this area has seen very positive growth and has become a key part of R&S’s business.

“I am grateful for the trust placed in me and look forward to taking on the role of CEO and continuing the good work we have done together. It will be both exciting and meaningful to lead R&S forward in close collaboration with Fritz and the rest of the team,” says Trond Valvik.

“Trond has been a key figure at R&S for over ten years and has an in-depth understanding of the business, its values, and its strategy. He is the right person to lead the company into its next phase,” says Fritz Rieber.

Fritz Rieber, who has served as CEO of R&S since 1992, is now taking on the role of chairman of the board. He succeeds Helge Midttun, who is stepping down after 12 years in the position. At the same time, Leif Teksum is stepping down from the board after 11 years of service.

“Helge and Leif have been key contributors to R&S’s development over the past 10-plus years. During their time on the board, the company has seen positive growth,” says the Rieber family, who wish to express their deep gratitude for their efforts and support.
