Greetings from this year's summer students
Throughout the summer, we’ve been working on a number of interesting and educational projects for Rieber & Søn’s portfolio companies. Our first day on the job consisted of an introduction to Rieber & Søn’s business, followed by several team-building activities to get to know each other better, which we thought was great

To begin with, we were divided into two teams. The projects began with a comprehensive introduction to both the project and the company. Since the projects are in different sectors, we’ve been able to take a deep dive into each sector. For example, we’ve worked on product and pricing strategy, ESG alignment, cost reductions, and operational efficiency, as well as improvements in inventory management.
There were no definitive answers to the problems, so we were given free rein to interpret, address, and solve them. Toward the end of the summer, we gave presentations to the portfolio companies in which we shared our findings and recommendations. The feedback from these presentations has been very rewarding, and we’re left with the impression that what we’ve done has had a real impact and created added value. It’s very gratifying that some of the projects have already been implemented by the portfolio companies.
It has been exciting to gain insight into how a forward-thinking investment firm like Rieber & Søn evaluates both new and existing investments. Among us interns, there has been a great atmosphere, and we’ve done a lot of socializing outside of work hours—and this has helped create a positive work environment. That’s why we’ve looked forward to going to work every day! It’s also been really nice getting to know the other employees at the office, and it’s been easy to ask for help whenever we’ve had questions.
We'd like to thank Rieber & Søn for a wonderful summer!
