Acquisition of Accept Försäkringsaktiebolag (publ)

On November 20, 2024, Rieber & Søn completed the acquisition of all shares in Accept Försäkringsaktiebolag (publ) (“Accept”), following a successful ownership review process that was approved by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority on October 24.

Accept, headquartered in Stockholm, has been an innovator in the Swedish insurance market since its founding in 1998. The company was the first to offer loss-of-income insurance and has since remained true to its vision of providing products that complement public insurance offerings. Today, Accept provides online insurance solutions tailored specifically to its niche.

Through this acquisition, Rieber & Søn is establishing a presence in the specialty insurance market in Sweden. The company looks forward to working with Accept’s management to maintain its strong financial foundation, outstanding customer service, and high level of customer loyalty.

In connection with the transaction, Brede Selseng and Trond Valvik from Rieber & Søn will join Accept’s board of directors. Both have extensive experience in the finance and insurance industries and will help further develop the company’s market position.
